1. About the registry
The Degu Breeding Registry at degus.eu is operated by Český svaz chovatelů, z. s. (Czech Breeders’ Association, “ČSCH”). It records breeding stations, animals, pedigrees, litters and health records of degus so that the origin of every animal can be traced.
2. Account
- Accounts cannot be created by self-service – a new breeder is registered by a logged-in breeder or an administrator, and an administrator approves the account before it can be used.
- You can sign in with e-mail and password, with a link sent by e-mail, or with a Google account linked to your account.
- Keep your login details safe and do not share them. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
3. Rules of use
- Enter true and complete information about animals, litters and their origin, and keep it up to date.
- Follow the breeding rules and ČSCH statutes, including litter limits. Registry commissioners may record and deal with rule violations.
- Do not edit other breeders’ records without permission, do not try to bypass security, and do not overload the registry with automated data downloads.
4. Content you add
You are responsible for the data, texts and photos you add to the registry and must hold the necessary rights to them. By adding them you allow us to display them in the registry and use them to run it (e.g. in pedigrees and pedigree certificates). Animal records remain in the registry after an account is closed because other animals’ pedigrees depend on them.
5. Sales and interested buyers
The registry shows animals offered for sale and helps breeders keep track of interested buyers and trades. The parties to any sale are always the seller and the buyer, not ČSCH; the registry is not responsible for how a sale is carried out.
6. Availability and liability
We run the registry without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. Results of the genetic calculator and statistics are indicative only. We are liable for damage arising from use of the registry only to the extent that liability cannot be excluded by law.
7. Suspension and closing an account
In case of serious or repeated violation of these terms or the breeding rules we may suspend or close an account. You can ask to close your account at any time at info@degus.eu.
8. Personal data
Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and governing law
We may change these terms; we will inform you of significant changes in the registry or by e-mail. These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Contact: info@degus.eu.
